On the last show Dvorak was arguing again his Orthodox take on deflation (prices going down)"Why would anyone buy today when they can get it tomorrow for cheaper"Why? Because I want to eat dummy! Oh, I'm not going to eat this week because food will be cheaper next week. I'm just going to starve! What sense does this make?

@HiroProtagonist I thought his take was that inflation is cumulative (it is) so prices will not go down if inflation "goes down."You need deflation for that to happen.Food isn't expensive. Eating out is.

@HiroProtagonist From comments like this, and others, both John and Adam both sound like Keynesian economists, believing everything in the economy depends upon aggregate demand, which is retarded. The whole of economic growth is founded upon savings not spending. Deflationary periods increase the value of savings and encourage saving. Once again, Adam and John show the world how retarded they are. Oh, and they carry water for the jews, lest that go unsaid.

@eriner @HiroProtagonist Real food (not boxed products) are up 5-15% over the last 3 years, not doubled. Meat is up, but you can also buy a 1/4 cow for $6-7 per pound hanging weight.

@DrChris @eriner @HiroProtagonist X to doubt.I've seen boxes of frozen chicken breast go from $50 to over $85 since early 2023. Other bulk basics have followed similar price trajectories. And this is right from the wholesalers like Sysco. You don't need to be buying any boxed food for your grocery bill to shoot up dramatically over the last few years.

@Noraweed @eriner @HiroProtagonist Costco/Sams chickens are still $5. Chicken breasts are easily found at $1.99/lb. 10lb bags of potatoes are $6. 25lb bags of rice are $13.Restaurant food has DEFINITELY gone up - I won't argue that, but I don't think grocery shopping is what is causing a pinch on most households if they're smart about it.

@DrChris He starts talking about inflation like you say but then he goes on to explain why you wouldn't want a drop in prices in general because no one would buy because "You basically break the back of the economy because nobody buys anything during a deflationary period. Why should I buy today when it will be cheaper tomorrow." Those are his words. He says eggs and petroleum are outliers. It makes zero sense. People won't starve themselves chasing lower prices: https://www.noagendashow.net/listen/1842?t=1:06:56
