It has been over a month since my last drink and it still sucks not being able to crack open one even on the weekends. Instead I burn myself out more by staying productive into the evenings. At least I don't have hangovers anymore but I do admit the changes have been mostly underwhelming. The weight loss has been decent though. It's not all bad. I am just really bored.

It's really not that hard, but you do have to want it. I will return to weekend drinking once I hit my goal weight, most likely, but alcohol messed up muscle protein synthesis to some degree and kills gains.

If you're going the 12 step route, fellowships after meetings, (especially with YPG) kill boredom pretty quick.If not, really anything that forces you to go out and interact with people like volunteer work, Bible study, mentorships, new hobbies that'd involve groups, etc.
