@Homecomer i expect them to do the bare minimum like australia did, to at very least give a refund for turning off the "always online" game servers. Once it hits the game devs and publishers into their sheckles they will start slowly rolling out patches for offline versions in the next decade.

@GothicAnon >i expect them to do the bare minimum like australia didQRD? What did Aussies do? >Once it hits the game devs and publishers into their sheckles they will start slowly rolling out patches for offline versions in the next decade. My bet is that publishers will just loophole the law by making their live service slop F2P before shutting down the servers

@Homecomer >What did Aussies do?You know how you buy stuff the store will tell you that you have X days to return it for refund? Well, Steam was like "fuck that, we keep your money forever" so they got sued in AUS to add refund option. And than roll that out world wide to avoid getting more sued.>live service slop F2PThat's exactly what has started the movement years ago by Ross, so SKG people will 100% explain these hewbrew tricks to the politicians.

@Homecomer 2ndalso, there are at least three countries that have big beef with the current state of how cucked gaming is right now, 1st Poland (with big push from the CD Project devs), 2nd the Nederlands for being pissed on by the phone slop apps that implemented gambling for kids when they voted to ban it, and 3rd for some reason the Swedes as there were people in there pushing for it in national news website (and they had the highest proportions of votes to population out of all countries)

@GothicAnon More regulations won't solve the problem caused by regulations (IP law).

@Homecomer I would love to see a "use it or loose it" IP law, were if the current owner of whatever IP is out there isn't doing anything with it for 10 years it will automatically go into public domain.Otherwise people will work with what they have, there is chance that Eu will just do nothing at all, so in that case the entire industry will just get faker and gayer and the piracychads and weebs will keep on winning like they do right now.

@Homecomer sadly a minimal amount of exclusivity is needed (like up to 5 years) otherwise you will have situation were chinks would steal anything that is not legally nail down to a company, i mean they still do it now HOWEVER there is at least some minimal stopgap preventing them from totally flooding everything with their cheap copies everywhere.

@Homecomer >don't buy cheap clonesthe problem comes from the copies pretending to be original items. These cunts started doing a scheme were they would set up an ebay account that states it operates in UK but you wouldn't know its cheap chinese shit until package arrives to you house with the true address.
