@cjd THat was the move that sealed the libertarians fate to fringe obscurity. Had they supported Trump, today he would have to reciprocate and add their positions to his platform. I suspect it's why he treats Massie and Rand Paul utter contempt. They're all talk to him.

No, that's how how Trump works.The LNC *probably* got Kennedy into HHS by agreeing to run Chase. There was some backroom dealing going on at the time.Trump is always there to make a deal if you've got something he wants - but if you are *loyal* to him, he will have zero respect and throw you away like garbage. MTG learned this the hard way.He hates Massie because Massie plays a tight game. And Massie did get an endorsement out of him last election.

@magicalthinking This is why I hate (not dislike) libertarians. They put on masks and shirk all responsibility for their good-ideas. And then they clique up with the worst elements of society (progressives) when the calculus deems it necessary. I also don't remember libertarians being worth a damn during covid. The party itself was busy fighting the mises caucus and gave supremely bitch-made arguments against forced closures. It was leftoids like Joe Rogan that fought back.
