       @npc @snacks I couldn't get into the way of kings.  I liked the mistborn and wax and wayne but wok just didn't have any likeable characters when I was trying to read it.

       @StaleDonut @snacks i'm really liking it so far fwiw, but it does take a while for the main characters to really get established and things to be given enough context to make sense but maybe that's my fault because i'm just now realizing i probably should have read the mistborn books first

       @npc @snacks I know all the shard lore goes together and most of it comes from the stormlight stuff, but after so many hours I was just like "fuck these guys".  Mistborn just has different pacing and I found it actually fun and not a slog
