@Killer_Mule the wife told me about this today. Manchester has had water issues some sort or another for the past 5 years. Waste water spillage, not enough water etc. They either need to stop building home and increasing demand or build some more water towers and increase supply. The infrastructure is not built for the growth. The last head of water&sewer in Manchester lasted less than a year and I think they fired the one before that.

@Leyonhjelm @Killer_Mule the way the article reads is strange. Our water comes from the Duck River. I’m assuming the wells fed from the Duck and piping belong to a 3rd party before they come into city control. That 3rd party also supplies other town in the community. Wartrace is uphill so that 3rd party would have to be running multiple lifts to get it there as well.

@rory The reason I’m interested is if the valves are chinesium those responsible should be tarred and feathered @Killer_Mule

@Killer_Mule the Duck is one of if not the most biodiverse rivers in North America, and they literally treat it like a sewer. There are critters that are only found in the Duck. If they are not careful they will have to rename it the New Ganges.

@Leyonhjelm @Killer_Mule I’m guessing they are older than that and probably just froze and busted last week. Now we have 3 agencies all pointing at each other to fix the problem and the result is telling people to not use water. Meanwhile someone is getting a free pond.
