My wife was making her usual 6-egg breakfast scramble for herself and the kids. She begins by cracking each egg into a bowl together and then scrambling. Yesterday, as she cracked the sixth egg and broke open the shell, a rotten egg plopped into the bowl with the other 5 good eggs.My wife's trust in the egg industry will never recover.

@Zonz my grandmothers and my parents would always crack eggs into a separate cup before combining. I never saw a nasty egg but I’m sure they did as they both came from rural towns.

@Zonz had that exact same thing happen on a Thanksgiving breakfast at my uncle's house. My cousin had a bad one at like number 10 in the bowl. It was a whole baby chick. We went out for Chinese food instead.

@Zonz Yeah... I've gotten into the habit of cracking single eggs into a small bowl before committing it to the main bowl. Like a git push. 🤣
