@Terry That big gun on the A10 is a lot easier to operate than very expensive missiles. And the Persian Gulf is a confined area, you don't need tremendous range to patrol from bases in Qatar or Bahrain. Kamakazi drone boats operating at night would be difficult to hit though.

@pinemarten the 30 mm cannon fires 6,000 rounds a minute and carries 1,100 rounds of ammo. It only has roughly 10 seconds worth of ammo, that's like 3-4 passes

@TerryI want a GAU-8 mounted on a turret on the top of my wizard tower. The tower should be mostly filled by the ammo belt. I guess it's less of a wizard tower and more of a extermination tower. @pinemarten

@Terry @pinemarten 10-15 passes at 3900 rpm and the A-10s should have maverick AGMs on board tooplus there should be USMC attack helicopters in the AO with hellfires and 20mm cannonthe hard part isn't sinking the boats, it's seeing them at all if the sea isn't calm. semi-submersibles will be very hard to detect even in good conditions

@deprecated_ii @Terry @pinemarten Honestly, I think the hard part is that the airframe was never intended for naval use. I'm sure there's a lot of headaches around using them in this manner.

Distracting ameriburgers with waves of air and sea drones, eating up their defenses, then at the right moment downing an Aircraft carrier with a few hypersonics. A carrier literally named The Abraham Lincoln either sinking to the bottom of the sea with thousands of drowned yanks on board or being transformed into a floating inferno grave with thousands of crispy yanks on board, it would be a poetic death for the american empire and very funny to boot. I personally know and like a few retired Navy guys but the personnel today are a bunch of browns, fags and feminists. I'll have a big bowl of popcorn ready to watch the fireworks :peachcat_popcorn:
