       @erin idk it doesn't read that way to me. it's fucked up childhood, romance, dreams, fantasies, sexuality in a way tangling up uncomfy depravedness & romantic intensity. i can see expecting more genuine experimentalism given the sound but yeah it is basically a simple song-focused album not that the sound adds nothing but yeah

       @winterklaus @erin in the aeroplane over the sea always came across as really gross, in the artistically sound way. putting it down as 'violently heterosexual' with how much of it is about how gross heterosexuals are about breeding and children [always the key highlight for me] seems off mark
