She consulted with the MRU administration at the time as she wanted to respond and clear her good name, but was denied that opportunity by her employer, and she complied with that directive.Widdowson lost money. Upon the finding that her employment termination was illegal and unwarranted, a remedy of some 20 months was offered as compensation, despite the fact that she was out of work for 24 months.Since reinstatement was not offered as a remedy, MRU counsel tried to explain that this financial remedy was a fair ‘middle ground’ and part of some seven-stage compensation tier analysis by MRU which begins with reinstatement as the lowest rung and goes up to full payment of salary to age 75. If my notes are correct, that would be over 200 months and valued at something like $2.6 million.So, it’s not just a lost job.But Widdowson doesn’t see the money as the main factor. She wants reinstatement on principle.The parties also discussed the fact that Widdowson was ‘angry’ after losing her job. Her counsel noted that this is quite normal in every labour relations case she has been involved in. I would be angry, too, if I got fired for tweets over a phantom genocide and lost lifetime earnings of $2.6 million; meanwhile the Aboriginal Industry I’d exposed, composed of 1.8 million Indigenous people and a clique of lawyers, was raking in on the order of $60 billion from Canadian taxpayers with additional multi-billion dollar land claims pending, including claims of entire cities, as part of their genocide schtick.If anything, in my view, Widdowson deserves much more than reinstatement or $2.6 million.
