@eriner I loaded LibreELEC on a shitty PC stick to play things off my network, it’s a slim KODI install for low grade hardware

@eriner depends on what you're playing. If you want a swiss army knife that'll play anything, there's VLC and stuff built on it. If you're wanting a media center, there's stuff like Kodi. "Best" is subjective, and you'll get multiple arguments for what that is.

@eriner I just recently setup Batocera on an old iMac. Its primarily focused on emulation, but it also includes Kodi and can be setup to boot directly into it.LibreElec is similar, but without emulation, just Kodi.It take a bit to get Kodi setup with add-ons and whatnot, but I’ve been really happy with it. I can access our Plex library, radio streams, Pandora, and tv streams from Pluto TV, Roku, and more.

I used Kodi for a decade at least. It's pretty awesome and super customizable. @Richard @eriner @chrisprt
