@sand @myus It's me not knowing the line between what synths, samples, one shots, recordings and effects makes one over the other without blending it all together.This sounds like drum and bass, but it's background music to someone like my father. @mikuchan @myus In the end, "electronic" is just a vauge term whose boundaries are quite subjective. It used to mean "Music made with computers/synths" but nowadays just about every song uses at least a little bit of computer magic in it. Hell, maybe we can call all streamed songs "electronic".

Its a remix of i guess a "atmospheric" track of bells and pads and it's overlayed with all the electronic dohickies and a smooth kick. idk what you call it but it's not really edm or dubstep or anything really. @myus @mikuchan problem is, people will learn a handful of genres, and then start categorizing everything as one or another of them.personally, i have a good handful of genres that i've distinguished (because i've come across enough songs with the same kind of sound) that i don't know the name for, in addition to the few that I know.

@myus @sand The problem with all these classifications is when you actually try and make the music you realize how much you can't tell the difference, many use the same tracks and the tonal quality of the track, instument or synth is what makes or breaks the song into one genre or not.

@myus @mikuchan I have really scary/powerful sounds that I occasionally hear in my head and I've only been able to get anything of the sort into an audio file, like, once. IF I were able to create actual music out of it, I would call it HAM music (or perhaps HAAM music) -- short for HARD AS A MOTHERFUCKER, and also a reference to going ham.Anyway, here's that one audio file. @myus @mikuchan idk if it's really a hallucination because i don't hear it -- it's purely in my imagination, but i can hardly credit it as being a part of my own design because there's no way i'd design such unique, complex, and intense sounds. but yeah, i can usually imagine like 1-2 seconds of scary-ass sounds at a time on demand.one time i dreamed there was a big theater screen in front of me, and i was able to materialize one of the scary sounds in my head and project it to the theater sound system. i created just about the most incredible, deep, powerful sound texture i've ever heard, and then i put it to a simple beat. i've been able to create music with my mind while dreaming more than a handful of times now, but it was never something like this.
