It appears to actually be real.I only have two repositories, one fork of youtube-dl and one "fuck github".I don't remember filling out any fields on my github account with "niggers" but maybe I did.

@Zergling_man From what I can tell, as with all tech industry services, appeals are almost universally pointless.Emerging projects aim to decentralize code hosting:Radicle, CodeChain, Agoric: Use peer-to-peer or blockchain-based models.Still early-stage but offer long-term resilience against takedowns.Might be something worth considering in the future.There's 0 reason to use a repo that can be taken down, *shrugs* Especially given it's automated and there are many cases of false positives.

@SillySausage I couldn't figure out how to delete my account so instead I set every field on my profile to "niggers" and then posted "niggers" as many times as I could (turns out LinkedIn has a reasonably aggressive anti-spam tool in place) in as many places as I could, until they locked my account.So I appealed it and did it again.Did this every 3 days or so for about a month until they finally permanently disabled the account.

@SillySausage I recall someone asking for "fedi LinkedIn", and I pointed out that fedi is already that: Just put whether you are hiring or looking for work, what roles/skills etc. in your bio, general geographic region/willingness to relocate, link to a whole damn resume if you want. Spin up an alt on some super-sanitised mastodong if you're scared of employers seeing you say nigger.The problem is the employers don't look to recruit people here, and I continue to describe network effect as a major defect.

@SillySausage If you figure out how to delete accounts on linkedin, I'd like to see it.Also I should clarify that by "appeal" I simply mean "you go to a page with a tickbox that says 'I won't do it again', you tick it, and your account is unlocked, and you can do it again".

I just deleted my account. 1. Access your LinkedIn account: Go to linkedin.com and log in using your credentials. 2. Navigate to Account Settings: Click on your profile icon (the "Me" icon) in the top-right corner, then select Settings & Privacy from the dropdown menu. 3.
