@ljrk @davidho If we hear the corroborated testimonies of Palestinian prisoners, soldiers and guards, I have the impression that a lot of sexual deviant acts, including rapes, are more prevalent in Israel than in other countries.Israel is one of the countries where sexual deviant behaviour by soldiers and guards is not frowned upon, let alone being punished, by seniors.

Israel has a long history of brazenly shielding pedophiles from prosecution. Recently Tom Alexandrovich's flight from justice made headlines​, but his is only one notable instance of a pattern and practice that has been documented for decades.Unless things have changed dramatically recently; when prosecuted in Israel, child sexual abuse sentences are often shockingly light, and the vast majority of offenders are released after serving only partial sentences at that. They do not have a public sexual predator registry, and there is no restriction on convicted child predators having future personal or professional access to children (though they may (may 🤯) be barred from further contact with their past victims). I would be happy to receive contrary evidence to any of these points if the situation has changed. In any event, comparing the state of Israel's official legal policies and attitude towards child sexual abuse within their own boarders to what happens in lawless war zones is certainly a dubious comparison.
