       My first alternative Operating System was RedHat Linux 5.2. I printed out the manual on paper, because I knew I wouldn't have networking for a bit and it was my only computer. 150Mhz I believe. I even put it in a 3 ring binder.

       @thedaemon that was the only Linux I ever “bought”.  I’d installed Slackware and others (SLS, Yggdrasil), but buying Linux in a retail box felt special.  (Of course, it wasn’t my favorite Linux user experience, so I moved away from RedHat thereafter ;) )
