That is objectively not true and we have literal printed books back before the internet existed that already consolidated most of these ideas. /pol is where they congregated and made it popular but still it emerged a long time ago.Even the alt right as a movement was widespread and not limited to imageboards. People forget back in 2017 alt right was on YouTube making serious money. If anything, I would argue Youtube had a bigger impact than pol at popularizing the message before the big ban wave in 2018.
