Zomboid Modpack ThreadAfter about 600 hours of playtesting and tweaking shit I think we've successfully managed to put the fun into this broken mess of a game.Horde nights & night sprinters.Helicopter events, from supply drops to bandits gunning down survivors.NPCs (nvm, mod creator had a meltdown lol) Player zombies, I'm not bit btw.Climbing, jumping, crawling & swimming.Dig moats, build ladders & create cool shit with expanded build options.New vehicles & upgradeable vanilla ones.New areas, vanilla areas expanded/improved.Expanded skills, more skill books to powerlevel.Cosmetics, emotes & collectables. Transmute whatever you're wearing into whatever you think looks cool.Weed, booze & ice cream.Better gunplay & gun maintenance.Cannibalism, ninjas, medieval weaponry, scrap weaponry/armour/guns/explosives & suicide.Better UI, performance & quality of life.Join us on saturday evenings, ~8pm EST until we pass out. Still not as complex as my Rimworld mod list.I've never played Zomboid. Is it good without mods or do you have to do this to yourself to enjoy it?

Yeah it's about normal really, complicated slightly by LUA's limitations requiring some mods to need manual installs.It's masochism either way tbh, the devs are leaf/bong faggots who hate guns/fun in general and think "realism" is an excuse to bloat the game to try and hide the lack of end game content. Build 41 (latest stable release) is playable in vanilla, but it's kinda gay and once you've tried the mods you won't be able to go back. Build 42 (latest unstable release) is a broken mess and a lot of modders can't keep up with fixing it.It has a heavy learning curve at the start, and a lot of quirks and exploits to learn. It's a lot easier to learn the ropes in multiplayer.

🤷🏻♂️ That's upto you & @Doll , I'm not that big on the cosmetic side I normally just transmog a bunch of spikes onto a skeleton in trenchcoat and call it done lolOh and I took out chainswords btw, I couldn't find an easy way to take it out of the loot lists and there were tons in every military outpost. OP shit's fun but when you can't even use them up before you find 20 more it might be a little too OP? I dunno, you can put those back in if you want lol

Not without learning LUA, that mod was a commission so he just made it and bailed. There are fuck all settings for it without manually coding.I can look for other melee weapons as a substitute?

Katana's easy to spawn, yeh. But it's more fun to have a goal and find one.Also if we're careful and/or lucky, and don't miss the best annotated map in the game on a despawning zombie, we could raid March Ridge and find like 2-4 in one building.
