I have adhd. sitting and listening is hard. plus if their voices are annoying. nope. I like reading words. my brain is wired differently.

I’m not a big fan of audiobooks either. I prefer the tangible aspect of reading a book. I’m a tactile person. However! I’ve been thinking about creating original content for NCTV. Essentially make my own anime. But having to do all the animation would be a lot to figure out. So I thought what about making an audiobook.

@DMA @Rose i don't have ADHD. listening is not hard. but if they are annoying, nope. I listen when I'm engaged doing simple task or driving. actual reading for me is mostly manuals or reports. i haven't read or listen to fiction since last century. I just don't have the need to fill my thoughts with wonder or romantic notions on contrived realties.

Short answer is, it depends. Long answer is, if I like the book and the reader, if they have an annoying voice or they read too slow or anything else that is grating, then no way, I prefer to read it myself.
