It's King of Dragons 1cc, forgot to explain. What a snake slaying simulator it is.@DrRyanSkelton It was driving me up the walls and I almost tagged you to ask about what you might've scried from Cadillacs as that's from Capcom as well.

>hear during the day personal confirmation that my cheeky statement "I am not a foid, or gay, or a tranny, nor a fornicator so I am the least hireable candidate" might be closer to reality than previously thought>start credit in warm ambivalence>when it passes the threshold of it being a probable 1cc I don't feel enthused, it's just number go up if I don't fuck it up>stage 14, third to last level, the pace is good>get a call for the sole purpose of giving me shit>sloppy but only miss thus far was at Castle Garenos, easy to keep going>stage 15, get the same call AGAIN>last stage, that capcom 'you are playing well, so we roll the red carpet'>something similar tries to make me dread life again, burn a life sloppily>All ClearOne of the better posts going through bullshit on nitter has read thus: "The best developers were old Japanese men chainsmoking while playing arcade games 12 hours a day." The interruptions made me appreciate the mentality that can drive you to that. I've got a comment about the impression Capcom arcade games make in me but for now they remain the 'Struggle Developer.'

Powerful! Congrats on the 1cc. KoD is too mean a game for me but I should run it a few more times to see what it's like. You even did it without doing the elf/wizard range play. Very cool.Cadillacs and Dinosaurs is as cool as it sounds, and it's one of my favorite Capcom beat-em-ups. It's 1ccable but fairly mean, but is also just a lot of fun credit fed anyway. If you are collecting a list of the best Crapcom beat-em-ups it's probably between Cadillacs and Punisher depending on the mood of the person asked, with Final Fight in a special spot too.

@DrRyanSkelton :konata_happy: Replied in a past thread about how late last year I had finally internalized "avoid enemy hitboxes while using mine" and KoD really has some kind of mission statement about such understanding, a couple features that stick out:-early on something visually/conceptually well communicated is that when enemies bunch up, even just a couple, one will block and another will cleave. Instinct, even without experience in other bmups, betrays and convinces to swing at the crowd sometimes-this very week I started seeing the emphasis of the vertical/depth movement (Y axis if Z is the jump) which allowed me to route parts that felt like a toss-up; BUT it also allowed me to find seams in the framedata which borderline result in: moving clearly out of the way diagonally in between enemy states but still catching the hit -one dramatic instance being the merman throw/unblockable sucking me up in an unnatural way to how the game normally functions. Probably hitbox corners or something.-since there's no grab or collision if you walk into the enemy sprite one ends up preventing their parrying by walking into them from outside their lane and attacking when 'overlapping' enough.Regarding Cadillacs and Punisher: I actually even went prodding on their source material on top of the odd credit tryout. The character select of Cadillacs made me think I was way too green so only a few credits without savestating. Also I had not thought about the contrast but those really look like Capcom going all-cilinders on presentation compared to KoF, which in time felt like it was saying "You like fantasy? Violence mixed with Wonder and the Arabesque? That's cute, but you're here to game" right until this week when my mind wandered minimally on the Cleric's sprites, the quick animations that can only be seen at the frozen "you defeated x boss" screen.Funnily it goes full circle, since I couldn't appreciate enemy sprites but instead see the game entities and the pressure they exert undivorced the sprite.
