       @PHarrghis @teto @EvolLove When I saw this I was thinking how bad movies and TV are at conveying that someone is lying and lying is bad - to a passive viewer.Or even just presenting a liar without judgement.  Unless you do some extra work people might just assume what they say is them telling the truth.If people are watching western TV and movies they are more taught that having non race-mixed children is a sin than lying is a sin.

In a book you'd generally have something say>the asshole lied, lyinglybut in a movie you usually don't get that and have to pay some attention.  But I'd say the majority of people don't pay that level of attention.
