@grey Another reason I find the Catholic doctrine of the Pope being in complete control suspect. After 1000 years of history the Church defenses all collapse into one attack vector. You just need some smart rabbinic jews and a dumb Pope and the Church would have fallen.

@Groomschild @grey It is also biblical that the Church would not fail. (Matthew 16:18)Eastern Orthodoxy has not failed as far as I know. But its sphere of influence has shrunk due to communists and Muslims.
