@Nonilex This has been the case for a long time. California’s 1967 Mulford Act, some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation, were signed into law by the right wing’s own deity, Ronald Reagan. Why? Because the Black Panthers were carrying. There is no principled philosophy here. Gun rights are for those on the political right, particularly if they’re white.
