@teto On one hand I found it very disappointing that they did not remake the best and definitive game, Emerald (same issue with the Gen4 remakes), but it is still way better than SwSh and anything that came after.

@Jens_Rasmussen my pikatchus moveset is thunderbolt, thunder and two HMs lol. Not like it matters in this case cuz you only spam those two moves at water and flying types and then switch. Electric types arent really versatile

@teto gen 3 is the only gen i've played tbh, i loved the absolute fuck out of emerald. hundreds of hours put into that game. i played a lot of colosseum too but i don't think i'd ever wanna go back and play that one lol.the secret base thing in emerald was so fucking cool man, i'm surprised they've never done anything like that again. i remember playing against one of my friends and then going into the world to see so many secret bases out there, just from a long chain of people who had connected with each other. knowing that those were made by real people was awesome.

@beardalaxy @teto They had underground secret bases in a later gen.There was also a mining minigame so you could get all the "-stone" you wanted.

@beardalaxy gen 3 was certainly a peak in the franchise. Certainly for late millenials cuz we grew up with it. I played gen 4 too but it was just kinda meh. Tried gen 5 last year and also meh. Prob related to the designs. Millenials back then always shit on gen 4 and 5 for the pokemon designs and they were kinda right. I cant really get immersed when the ice pokemon is a literal ice cone.

@Witch_Hunter_Siegfried @Jens_Rasmussen the gen 3 remakes look unironically better on the 3ds than all the switch games look. It's funny how they degraded in style and graphics with more powerful hardware. Arguably already did when they went from 2d to 3d.
