It also spawns a bunch of fun palette swap OCs that exist somewhere on the scale of "Character borrowing another characters/otherwise unrelated gimmick for themselves". Len edits, like @Witch_Hunter_Siegfried 's favorite Red Len, are some of the more common, but there are also a lot built off things like the old 2hu fighter, Melty Blood, and KOF's sprites as well.Long and short to say it's very fun watching simple ideas be made into MUGEN characters trying to capture a vision without having to reinvent the wheel animating something new, in turn bleed back into fan art of those characters trying to capture the visions their creators brought into existence.

@Witch_Hunter_Siegfried There are also the misc collection of OCs that permeate it. Both characters completely original to Mugen, characters like Dragon Claw by Reuben Kee and Ryuko by Oggyoggy, or even extensions of existing canon like Sendai Miko by Pre-to (an ancestor of Reimu who fights using martial arts) who's design is so well known it's grown well past her origins as a MUGEN character.

@Witch_Hunter_Siegfried Meiling x Krizalid ship art is by far one of the most common ones you see. She borrowed his iconic circular wind kick projectile in the original 2hu fighting game.

If that doesn't do it, the grind will. And if THAT somehow doesn't do it, then that player probably isn't a regular normie.
