Hobbit trilogy is not very good. Start with Fellowship, all extended editions of course. Go for Hobbit trilogy after ROTK if you like the lore, but have very low expectations. Stay off your phone and enjoy the masterpieces fully.

Never watched the Hobbit movies,, but I did watch the extended versions of the OG Trilogy. It's phenomenal.

Yes, but, for the movies, the hobbit is a book half the size of one LOTR book but they decided to forcibly split it into 3 movies to make their money. So I’d recommend starting with the fellowship of the ring for the movies at least. For the books… I actually recommend the simarilion to start.

If you are over 18, the Hobbit book is going to be goofy to you. Read LOTR.
