       @sickburnbro I seem to recall that back in the 1800's a study found that all things being equal people had better outcomes avoiding tge medical profession entirely.I wonder what they'd find today?

       @Escoffier I mean, for things like a gunshot, it's pretty obvious. In the 1800s they didn't sterilize for surgery, so that was a real roll of the dice.Now you just get hospital acquired infections.
