@nugger I think it’s possible to take up to a months worth at one time and time. Heard it on a health podcast or something. Like it will actually last a month too. They do it for old people in nursing homes.

@Checked @nugger I think it's just less effective, but it is possible. I imagine it's done with nursing home patients because it's more convenient.

@nugger the recommended daily allowance is 1/15 what it should be because the people who came up with it were retarded and made statistical errors in their analysisthe real RDA should be 9000 IU

a lot of that is because vit d has absolutely terrible bioavailability from foodits way more effective to eat a decent amount of cholesterol and get your vit d from sunlight on bare skin

@john_darksoul @Checked @nugger just bear in mind that vitamin d IS fat soluable meaning excess isn't excreted via urine or feces. just like vitamin a, you're fine if you just take a daily supplement at the recommended dose, but if you do something retarded like taking 10x the dosage then you're asking for trouble.

@Paultron @deprecated_ii OH SO THEY'RE BASING THE INTAKE NORM ON THE AMOUNT PRODUCED NATURALLY BUT THE SUPPLEMENT FORM DOESN'T GET PROCESSED ANYWHERE CLOSE TO AS EFFICIENTLY SO YOU HAVE TO TAKE MONDO AMOUNTS TO COMPENSATE

@john_darksoul @Checked @nugger tbh just a half an hour of exposure to sunlight will give you enough.

@nugger @deprecated_ii @Paultron there are different sources of vitamin d that they use in supplements. I found out cholecalciferol is the best form of it. I have been taking it for a couple weeks and see a big difference.

@Heil_Honkler @john_darksoul @Checked @nugger the only possible issue with megadosing vitamin d that i have come across is you need to be careful with taking calcium
