@pernia I'm stupid, I seemed to have screwed up some simple algebra, but I can't figure out where.We want to calculate how many years one has to wait to be double another number plus 7. The two numbers we're starting with are 13 and 25. I thought it was really simple, just set it up like:13 + x = (25 + x)/2 + 7 and solve for x. I did the algebra, got 15, and desmos confirmed it.But, then I plugged in 15 - epsilon elapsed years, and got that f1(x) = (25 + x)/2 + 7 gives me 27 - epsilon/2, and f2(x) = 13 + x = 28 - epsilon, which seems to imply f2 is greater than the f1 gap, which should imply that the answer is less than 15?
