       in 2005 they bulldozed this skateboarding gap at Point Loma High School and replaced it with an elevator. it was made famous by Jamie Thomas in 1997 who attempted to jump it and snapped his board in the process. since his attempt, multiple other skateboarders attempted it and broke their bones leading to the gap's demolition. it is about an 18 foot drop.
