BTW if you like Daggerfall then Daggerfall Unity might be up your alley. It was a remake in Unity with modern improvements so you won't break your mouse playing it and can have a better terrain view distance.

@TrevorGoodchild @cough I was optimistic it would meet the first goal seeing the progress a while back when it was gaining, knowing the interest was there with all the cool and practical Daggerfall Unity mods people made. I like the decision to forego a single mainline story and even let people sit out the major events if they’d prefer to focus on sidequest/immersion type content. And ofc real interested to see how they’re gonna do the virtual dm

I really wish this was co-op. I tend to get bored in solo games, but MMOs have their own issues (grind treadmills are a feature goy!) but it seems as I've gotten older that co-op is kind of the sweet spot for me. I can log in with my kids or a couple friends and have some fun without all the nonsense.

@graf @TrevorGoodchild Thankfully in my case with FnF I backed the cheap $15 "Get the game" tier, I've also seen issues with Strike Force Heroes where a friend of mine got half of his money back after he decided he wanted nothing to do with the community after they started adding weird furry and anime stuff (Said friend group doesn't like anime and even I confess it doesn't fit) from the "design a character" tier he'd paid for. Least bad case for me was backing a TTRPG I thought looked cool that the campaign failed so didn't put out any cash.

@Paleface @TrevorGoodchild One of their main devs called off their dogs and addressed me personally to tell me it "wasn't a complete rewrite" and they were just taking another engine and modifying it for their needs (getting Bethesda gamebryo vibes) but it's going to be a long fucking time
