@thatbrickster @mrsaturday That's not my definition of grifting. They're entertainers, it's a job. Then some of them have no morale and of course scam people. But I also consider that vtubers, especially females, can more easily do that to men.As for the <1% male vtubers, it attracts yaoi.

Cure Dolly has been the only one to stand out to me in the last seven years, sadly she passed away after an illness (announced by husband). She wasn't an idol but a teacher trying to make learning Japanese easier. I have both her books. I don't consider her a grifter, she offered something tangible not just a fleeting feeling.@mrsaturday
