Those of us who live on property that must be tended, with livestock to care for, take weather quite seriously...

Turkeys invaded the empty house across from my dairy farmer's farm... This is just a small number of them. There were probably around 50 birds.

@BattleDwarfGimli @s2208 Sam goes with fishermen. Once U lay down Ur net or what equipment U have, U will have to take it up again, usually no longer than 6 or 12 hours later. Some equipment U can visit 1 or 2 times a day. This means that if there is a storm so U can not go out, Ur equipment might get full of fish that dies, Ur net can sink to the bottom or a storm can fill it with vegetables.Well that and U also don't want Ur ship in distress.

It's not nearly as cold here and the rabbit seems to be using an open unheated shed to stary dry and out of the wind, so should be fine.

@TorbasaTuba @s2208 I had the privilege to work for such a farmer when I was young. He predicted the weather perfect every evening. We did not make one mistake with the harvest. All hay was cut, dried and taken in.And this was the worst summer in decades, the tv weather was wrong the whole summer and farmers who depended on tv cried on tv and wanted to sue the tv weather because they lost their whole harvest.

Wild bonus turkeys. We have them in abundance here. Nobody says a word if you pop one or two.

We were hunting by 7 or 8 years old with exactly that, back in the 1970s when America was a real place.
