@mansalia Terry used HolyC for the shell, which is based, but as a result of using a real programming language for a shell there is weird syntax. I wish he'd deviated more from C because it sucks e.g. Terry added u0, f64 and so forth for typesI'm starting to like lisp syntax but it being garbage collected and loosely typed sucks for a programming language, and it would have even worse shell syntax due to reliance on newlines

@nigger @mansalia lisp is whitespace agnostic just like c desu.also, there are lisp-family languages with better memory models like ulterior, linear lisp, or even common lisp with the trivia package. ulterior is even statically typed if i recall.

@HatkeshiatorTND @mansalia hard to say that when whitespace and parentheses are the only syntax in the language lolI couldn't quickly find working versions any of those, and they're probably too high level for me anyway if they let you do (+ 1.0 2) without having a macro running over the tree
