It's hard to imagine going from such a serene stillness to the rip and roar of tanks, machineguns and even aircraft just overhead. Puts our day to day problems into perspective.

YABLENSKAYATo my great surprise and relief, it was German tanks, rather than enemy tanks! How devastating it was to see so many men taken out at the first charge, but Wait! "a spectacle that was as funny as it was exciting!" Followed by the the Stukas! and so very many. What I thought was sure Tobe a horror turned to victory. Can you even imagine, 12 of hard battle, followed by another 12 moving forward. These men were absolute warriors and kings.It never fails to amaze me that in the midst of such horror, Leon never forgets to appreciate the Beauty, where it can be found.
