@PNS it sounds like the guy was permitted for concealed carry, and I’m all for that. But when you’re confronting armed officers if someone sees it, especially if you are being belligerent and harassing the officers, you’re gonna get lit up.So at that point, why even give them the chance. Maybe he wanted to be martyred.

@fkq1q2r2 @zephyrotv @PNS Also underappreciated fact that everyone with a license to carry should know,If you commit ANY crime while your firearm is on your person, it could potentially be upgraded to a felony.So when you are carrying you better be the striking image of innocence.They also tell you, be VERY polite, if you're like "fuck you dude," then your self defense case is going to be in danger if it escalates.

@zephyrotv You have to ask, why bring the gun. You already know people are bringing kids to these things, because who the fuck knows why.Fact remains, when skirmishing, having no gun to accidentally discharge would've made a big difference.

@Cosmic @zephyrotv @PNS MN is so terribad on PTC usage, great on getting to carry though. Unless you're in your home, it's hard to win a self-defense case. You have a legal duty to retreat and de-escalate.

@PNS bring a gun or don't but if the cops try to arrest you and you put up a fight that gun will get you shot. If you don't mean to get shooting or get shot, then either leave the gun at home or don't resist when given orders or arrested. Now if you intend to start shooting, well that's what the second amendment was for but don't be surprised at the response. You've made a decision and decisions have consequences.

@PNS @elconquistador agreed, my wife also made a point that her female friends from college that didn’t marry or have kids, all became super libs. As if the care they are supposed to give their children is being poured into these manufactured outrage events.

@IcyGrillz @PNS also, if you do have a gun, especially a loaded one, the first thing you do when confronting the cops is let themKnow you are carrying. Put your hands up and let the cop disarm you. I have had friends get pulled over with a handgun in the car (unloaded) and the first thing they do is let the officer know there is a firearm in the vehicle so there is no chance a cop with an itchy trigger finger may overreact.
