       @evan we need a better term than liberal in this age of rising illiberalism. the fedi is a very liberal technology, helping all voices be heard.

       @wjmaggos I used "moderates" instead. I don't think people who talk about the relative merits of stripping others of their rights really count as "liberal", anyway.

       @evan yea liberal is a term many on the left use and I totally get it and don't have a great alternative. moderate is fine but lots of these people consider themselves rabid Dem voters so that's not exactly it.
