Honestly I'm late to every party, only got on the internet 10 years ago, had a smartphone for about 5 months now, and I'm an old middle aged grumpy bastard. I'm an outdoors person for the most part. I'm quite eusocial but even at that I still have to deal with people, 'normies' mostly, and though I wish more of them were switched on to what I know I also don't have much in the way of illusions about how the majority of people offline think and act. I imagine interacting with folks largely online gives a very distorted view of the world and I don't see that being useful in the slightest. When I see these folks go on like the trs crowd and other heavily online sorts I realise how divorced they are from the working of the world outside and how ill prepared they are for the reality right outside their front door. It's sobering and worries me to see it, not so much that I'm going to change my pace but it seems as much a fantasy as any redditor or tranny inhabits.
