       do they need a special feeder like that? or do they eat something different? I saw some here in the in autumn, but they have not been here during the winter.

       This feeder is mostly for meal worms wich they love, and it’s designed for their size so it keeps some of the bigger birds out but they will visit the other feeders also. They like very open spaces like fields and mostly feed on bugs. They will come around the house in the winter when their natural food is scarce.
