       I tried playing Monster Hunter Stories 1 and 2 and I just can't do it. Aside from 1 being a mess in terms of QoL and basic gameplay, both 1 and 2 suffer from disastrous localization. It's making me wanna switch entirely to Japanese. In 2 they gave you a friendly upbeat uplifting oneesan senpai to guide you into the game and the fucking subtitles change her respectful words (kouhai) into newb LOOL turning her into a condescending bitch. It would be almost funny if it wasn't so toxic and malicious.
