       Okay, clearly I have an imperfect understanding of how Mastodon posts get in my timeline.I _thought_ that I should see the posts of people I follow or the posts that they boosted in my notification stream. This morning I noticed a couple of posts in that stream that were neither.Thoughts, insight or tutoring appreciated on this matter.Nothing against posts with half-naked bodies per se but I'm old and startle easily.#LearningAsIGo #OldPeopleOfMastodon #OldManYellingAtClouds

       @PaddyTech Good point. No, I'm not currently and looking at the most recent offending post, it doesn't appear to include any hashtags. (Dang, that would have been a good, straightforward explanation.)

       @wjmaggos @PaddyTech I'm thinking you're both right - I use the browser interface on my laptop and the Notifications column took a while to load this morning.  I wonder if the admins might have had an "escape" of unfiltered posts at some point in the past few hours.
