@Grumbleshroom Currently 16F and no precipitation. I did NOT get a shovel yesterday. My kitchen door goes out to a covered part of my porch. Sawyer may go out on there tomorrow morning. I broke down and started putting peepads down for Dillon. "indoor plumbing" he shall have.

That does sound unpleasant, I hope it's a dry cold. Best to be prepared for pee, I wouldn't be keen to go out in that tbh. Just stay warm, petal.

The one I saw Wednesday was tiny, good kitchen but I couldn't even fit my bed in the 'bedroom' and the lounge would have fit a stool and a coffee table and nothing else. Definitely a no from me.

@mjdigspigs @Grumbleshroom So the process took a year for I 130 form to go through. Then the first part was denied. Which is automatic cause they need an appeal document. We got that done last year in Dec while I was over seas visiting my wife and perse to what my lawyer advised, whoch was going to see my wife and acquiring new evidence. So, about a week ago, the USCIS requested new evidence to support the denied claim. On the 18th im back in usa, then on the 20th (23rd actual) I check email amd recoeved approval for her visa permission. So now all we gotta do is prepare her for interview and conjure up the medical cost and the flight cost. She should be here this year. I just need save up 2500 and my lawyerArcadia biggie wood PLLC will handle it.

@Grumbleshroom That's a proper cat.Have to go back to parents next weekend, still still wish mum had dogs. Can't wrestle with those fluffball cats she has and they won't leave me alone, wait for me outside my door as long as it takes. Found them out there at 2am on many occasions. (Door that connects my end of house to rest of house, not outside.)

That do sound like good kitties, but they're not usually good at rough housing. Are your parents not dog people at all? Could they be convinced to take one in maybe?I hope you've had a good weekend so far, hon. 🥃

@Grumbleshroom I offered to build mum a dog run off the back of the house since there's no fenced in area out back the house. She declined. She's 81, dad is 91, she doesn't want a dog at this stage even with my guarantee I'll take care of it of needed. It's where we're at.

Fair enough, a dog is a lot of work especially if one is isn't used to them. At that age they're best left to their limits and accept what help they need as and when. I like to think I'll have dogs around me at that age, if we get to live that long on the appropriate timescale, that is.

Scotties are adorable, a lot of energy but very good dogs. If they've had plenty of dogs before they're probably wise to the work it takes. The cats sound like good company.
