@Jens_Rasmussen @Shadowman311 Most "creative" industries are filled with artfags who don't really understand the media they're working in; AAA devs think they're elevating video games by making them more like TV and film even when it obviously doesn't work and fails to use the medium to it's potential. Not to mention these "techniques" are decades old, if they had the opportunity to work in TV and film like they wanted they would be completely forgettable hacks.

Just don't go further than Trench Crusade where you have separate guys doing art and others doing lore. The thing fell apart because it had absolutely no consistency.The problem is that a lot of those artfags focus more on propaganda than actually making something worthwhile. Their politics are their whole personality and thus they confuse what they want to make with pushing their politics on their audience.They don't want to make a compelling story or consistent lore.
