@Atreyu there was always a bright and tall patch of grass over the lid to our septic tank. The field was damn near dead.

@AlphaKiloPapa I would guess the field line was plugged and the effluent was pushing out the gaps in the lid. If so, lucky it found a way out and didn’t back up into the house. In a working system, it’s just a box of turds and water in the ground and the water leeches back into the groundwater in the field. Or in my case of a failed field, it pushed up to the surface. Oh it was lush grass over the field back then. $14.5k later, it’s now pumped up and over the hill and leeching there. 🥴

@Atreyu We has a whole new field put in. Didn't change anything. The spot over the tank lid gets all the humidity that comes out of the tank and more nitrogen. The rest of our yard including the field got very little water and we never used enough to fill the field lines.
