@LawrenceGerald @DC5FAN it's cause by food safety standards, most food left unrefrigerated after 2 hours in a environment that is 40F or higher, has a higher chance to forming bacteria on it. But that depends how the food was stored and what kind of food it is. Pasta for example is something you should not put in your mouth after letting it sit for 6+ hrs, it can develop a bacteria that will send you straight to ER. Thank you for my ted talk.

@LawrenceGerald I did eat the last piece cold and it was fine. I've only ever gotten food poisoning from eating out. I've eaten some questionable stuff too - like moldy bread and cheese.

@James_Dixon @DC5FAN once I got as sick from food poisoning as I've ever been--we could never determine if it was some possibly dicey fish I'd bought and cooked for dinner or e.coli from the 8 hours we had spent in Barton Creek the day before. this was before the full mexican invasion of Austin and the e.coli was from agricultural enterprises upstream. heauxly cow we were sick, only 1 bathroom in a studio apartment, projectile spewing from both ends at once. my then-boyfriend called his doc who called in a prescription that cleared it up.

Yeah, it pulled a lot of veils off for me too. "Healthcare" is a racket, the government hates us and wants to kill off as many as it can without being obvious. And I have a working immune system, which allowed me to survive the worst virus in all of history. I was already leery of Chinese buffets. Molds like penicillium and aspergillis have microscopic fruiting bodies, making them look like a blue or black carpet. Yeast is a fungus that just lives as single cells in whatever medium they live. Fungi differ quite a lot in toxicity, but the blue bread mold probably won't kill you, nor will the unpasteurized beer or French cheese. A pizza is dry and salty and a poor medium for microbes, but shrimp and oysters and etc. are a perfect medium for some of the worst bacteria. Seafood goes downhill quickly at room temperature. Seafood cooked by niggers on a cruise ship is the worst of all possibilities. You can get norovirus from the cooks, and ptomaine (or whatever) from the rotten fish...

Oysters can be toxic from red tide microbes in the water where they live. The oysters feed on the microbes, which have cuguatera toxin, and become toxic. You can also get things like hepatitis from oysters living near an outlet of untreated sewage. But I still eat 'em sometimes :pepe_macarena:

@DC5FAN @LawrenceGerald Tbh, that Chinese restaurant had been in my town for many years. I ate there sometimes with friends when I went to highschool (a million years ago). In fact, many of my towns residents ate there regularly. The restaurant never had a bad reputation. I'm thinking it was just a one-off for that restaurant.
