people are obsessed with antiquity, the classical era, the medieval era, renaissance, victorian era, and various parts of the 20th century; but almost nobody is obsessed with the georgian era (ca. 1700s - 1830s) because it was so unsexy.

@lain I've been to american historical reenactments and all the bonfires actually make everything smell like wood smoke. so maybe it wasn't so bad after all.
