@kaia the Irish have some sort of a retarded agreement where they granted the rights for US to handle entry approval still in Ireland. I suppose it's convenient for travellers since, if their entry is rejected while still in Ireland they won't have to be deported, but it's about control really.

@kaia this is actually an amazing service, you can do immigration in ireland or Abu Dhabi and don’t have to worry about being sent back after a 14 hour flight

@lain @kaia malaysia had a similar thing when they had their old train station in tanjong pagar in downtown singapore, so you'd clear malaysian immigration and customs first before clearing singapore customs upon leaving singaporethey still have their immigration preclearance facility at woodlands train station in singapore, but it's no longer a reverse deal kind of process
