I've known some Indian guys from grad school, and yeah, the ones who did well for themselves later all were extremely good bullshitters.I've honestly considered picking up this strategy myself once I realized that apparently that's how you get ahead in the business world, but first of all, putting all this effort into keeping up appearances somehow still feels like work, and second, it robs you of the satisfaction of actually getting something done, and the skill development that comes from it.Also, I don't like how it makes you dependent on external validation, which tends to be more fickle and unpredictable than internal. People like this are constantly running around trying to please everyone, and if they ever don't get as much applause as they feel they deserve, they instantly become anxious and depressed, but that's the price you pay for being a people pleaser.
