My dad was very structured. If he used any physical violence it was three spankings. He even stopped using a belt and spoon cause he felt it was to much. @ApocalyptoLatte1488 I'm not against using physical punishment on kids but it should never be doled out in anger or leave lasting injuries. There is a stark difference beating a child and disciplining them. Violence should only be used if all other methods failed.Also, if you go too far with physical abuse you risk turning your kids in to psychopaths, just like how sexual abuse turns kids in to fags physical abuse can damage their empathetic response for life.I have zero sympathy for boomers who beat their kids getting the shit kicked out of them by their children when they are too old and frail to fight back, the lessons you give your children last a lifetime, if they come back to bite you then you deserve it.

My dad would be doing time for child endangerment and abuse and my mom would be locked up in a mental institution if modern rules applied to the 60s back when I was a kid.Probably locked up 10 to 20 years...And I know some parents who were worse (a scant few).
