Sometimes I regret that the German troll guy was kinda right. There's a subset of linux users that don't care about FOSS (see: the linux cast) and are really just poor apple fanboys that will switch as soon as they get a job

@wafflesies a lot of people are pragmatic. FOSS doesn't always work great, and as a linux user of 6 years, I'd get a macbook if I could.

@wafflesies THAT SAID, I'm not so sure sometimes. I am happy with Gentoo, and I like to tinker to set things my way, and Intel's new chips seem delightful, but FOSS isn't really a thing that attracts me. It's nice, and it's what lets me enjoy Gentoo, but it's not a thing I directly thing makes me happiest. I run some Proprietary software after all, and I'm not completely happy with the Desktop even though I run my favorite one, Gnome.
