       @burnoutqueen@todon.nl  well markets predate capitalism by thousands of years... ancoms tend to think of mutualism as a kind of gateway drug to get libertarians into anarchism, tho i don't think mutualism strictly means market anarchismi think the basic premise of historical materialism, that forces of production drive historical change are pretty much accepted by most historians and economists even if marxian economics proper aren't taken seriously. I'm not sure how necessary it is for people to even know the economics bit, like marxian economists with Phds can't even agree on what value is. That capitalism depends on the exploitation of the workers is all you really need to know. Anarchism just casts a very wide net and so there's a plurality of often contradictory schools of thought which isn't necessarily bad, but there's so many tiny fringe tendencies or weird dogmas that get floated around that i find very frustrating.
